Michael Wayne Cecil, 38, of Hickory, NC passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 at Catawba Valley Hospital. Michael was born in Orange County, NC. He attended Bartlett Yancey High School. He is survived by his mother and step father, Teresa Wheeley Roberts and Husband David of Burlington; Brother, Nick Roberts and wife Kate of Burlington; Grandmother, Dorothy Cecil of Hickory; sisters, Crystal Liles and husband Erik of Gibsonville; Cynthia Cecil of Reidsville, Terri Cecil of Efland, Kaitlin Roberts of Burlington; companion, Lisa Huffman of the home; uncle, Ronnie Cecil of Mebane; eight nieces and nephews; step grandmother, Geneva Roberts; Grandmother, Annette Wheeley of Burlington. A funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Mebane.
