Michael "Hawkeye" Keith Jordan

Michael Keith “Hawkeye” Jordan, 67, of Efland passed away Friday, January 21, 2022. Michael was born in Buncombe County, NC to Wesley Archie and Carolyn Long Jordan both deceased. He was retired from Grading work and he was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War. “Hawkeye was known for his fondness of music, motorcycles, and cars.  He was also admired for his quick wit and wealth of wisdom.  He treated everyone he met as if they were family.  His home, lovingly referred to as the “Hawsknest”, became a gathering place for musicians and people of all walks of life.

He leaves behind two sons- Wesley Thomas Jordan (wife-Brett Winters Jordan), and Jesse Jacob Jordan.  He is also survived by two grandchildren- Ola Tomino Jordan and Loretta Iva Jordan, as well as his siblings- Steven Jordan (Annette), Brenda Jordan, David Jordan (Robin), and Todd Jordan (Sandra) and his former wife, Brenda Lee.”

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:30 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Officiating will be Pastor Steven Jordan. The committal service will follow in Efland United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 12 noon until 1:30PM Saturday prior to the funeral service.
