Msg Gary Lee Strider, Ret.

MSG. Gary Lee Strider  -  Ret.  64, of Burlington passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at his residence. Gary was born in Moore County, NC to Carmon Carl Strider, Sr. and Amy Lou Saunders Strider both deceased. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the US Army serving his country for 28 years and he attended Staley Memorial Baptist Church.

Gary is survived by his wife, Patricia English “Pat” Strider of the home. Daughters, Renee Strider Moore and husband Tim of Graham, April Strider O’Connor and husband Brandon of Burlington and Carmen Strider Parker and husband Shawn of Burlington. Grandchildren, Taylor, Haleigh, Madison, Teagan, Colin, Lillian and Allie and his first great grandchild on the way. Sisters, Carol Strider Rhine and husband Charles of Pinehurst, Beatrice Strider Cox and husband Bruce of Burlington, Joyce Strider of Robbins and a brother, Carmon Carl Strider of Asheboro.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be Pastor Bennie Smith. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McClure Funeral Home in Graham. Other times they will be at the residence.
