Msgt. Donald Lloyd Macomson (Ret)

May 30, 1938 — March 27, 2016

Master Sgt. Donald Lloyd Macomson, U.S. Air Force (Retired), 77, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016, at his residence. Don was born in Alamance County, retired from the U.S. Air Force with 26 years of service and then retired from the United Parcel Service. He was a member of The Lamb's Chapel. Don is survived by his wife, Donna Roberson Macomson, of the home; daughter, Robin Stanfield and husband Sid of Mebane; son, Sean Macomson and wife Kim of Mebane; granddaughters, Tessa and Logan Stanfield; and a great-grandson, Bentley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Macomson. A memorial service, with full military honors, will be conducted Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 1 p.m. at The Lamb's Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Brian Biggers. The family will receive friends at the residence prior to the service. Don was a great man who adored his family, friends, fur babies Chloe, Sophie, and Taz and his granddog, Romo. In honor of his love for the Tar Heels, feel free to wear your Carolina Blue to his service. Don was an informal man and would expect nothing less at his celebration, so dress casual. Please join the family while they gather at the home of his daughter, Robin, at 539 Canterwood Drive, Mebane, immediately following the service to celebrate his life here on earth and arrival in paradise with the King Himself.
