Nancy Marie (Holloway) Langley

Mrs. Nancy Marie Holloway Langley, 94, of Mebane, NC passed away on October 22, 2024 at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. A native of Orange Co. NC, she was the daughter of the late Shell Allen and Vera Walker Holloway and he wife of the late Richard Langley Sr. Nancy loved to garden, cook, and just being outdoors finding something to do even still running her own tiller in her gardens up into her 80’s. Nancy’s passion was to serve others and look after folks as she ran the Red Carpet Kitchen in Mebane and the Dairy Freeze in Hillsborough for numerous years as her homemade biscuits were loved by all. She was a member of Mebane Gospel Chapel for many years but will forever be remember for being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone. Survivors include her loving sons, Steven Burgess and wife Julie, Barry Burgess and wife Diane, and Kerry Burgess and wife Karen; her step children, Lynn Albright and husband, Buster, Lee Langley and wife April, and Richard Langley Jr. and wife Sue; her loving 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her many loving step grandchildren; her sisters, Alice DeLozier and Joyce Trickey; her brothers, Elrey Holloway and wife Peggy and Wayne Holloway and wife Peggy, and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her loving brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday October 28, 2024 at the Pleasant Green Methodist Church Cemetery in Durham with Mr. Mike Holloway officiating. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mebane Gospel Chapel at 461 N. 9th Street Mebane, NC 27302 or to a charity of your choice in memory of Nancy. McClure Funeral Service in Mebane is assisting the family.
