Nancy Jane Keck Wilkinson, 90, of Mebane, passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
A native of Alamance County, Nancy was the wife of the late Robert Alton “Bob” Wilkinson Jr. and the daughter of Jack Burch Keck and Nannie Graham Keck, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Graham Keck; sister-in-law, Vanessa Keck; and brother-in-law, Phil Aldridge.
Nancy graduated from Mebane High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a member of the first graduating class of the dental hygiene program. She worked for several local dentists, both full-time and part-time, over the years while raising her family. Nancy enjoyed cooking, reading, and golf, as well as taking beach trips and watching sports—especially Carolina basketball. She was a member of Union Ridge Church.
Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by three sons: Al Wilkinson, Dave Wilkinson (Cathy), and Mike Wilkinson; five grandchildren: Whitney Vaughn (Brian), Merritt Huffman (Adam), Megan Edwards (Chris), Alana May (Corey), and York Wilkinson; and nine great-grandchildren: Easton and Holden Vaughn, Hayes and Jack Huffman, Neil, Leah, and Kylee Edwards, and Russ and Chloe May.
She is also survived by her sister, Helen Aldridge; brother-in-law, Bill Wilkinson (Betty Frances); and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane on Friday, February 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. At other times, they will be at the residence.
A funeral service will be held at Union Ridge Church on Saturday, February 8, at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Dan Ficklin. Internment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
