Nick Bartis

Nickolos Blaine “Nick” Bartis, 64, of Burlington died May 9, 2017 at Brian Center Southpoint Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. Born in Alamance County on July 16, 1952, and raised in Haw River, Nick was the son of Nickolos Augustus and Sylvia Welch Bartus, both of whom preceded him in death. Nick was a 1971 graduate of Eastern High School. He was a framer in the construction industry. Nick enjoyed fishing and was a big Tarheels fan. Survivors include his wife, Renee Barham Bartis; son, Blaine Bartis of Burlington; daughter, Mandy Crawford of Graham; step-sons, Joseph Trull of Mebane and Joshua Trull of Graham; brother, Angelo “Angie” Bartis of Mebane; sister, Cynthia Ann Cook of Mebane; grandchildren, K’Leigh Toler and Ethan Toler; step-grandchildren, Victoria Trull, Olivia Trull, Owen Trull, Austin Trull and Keldyn Trull. A celebration of life event for Nick Bartis will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the residence of Angie Bartis, 1004 Millstone Lane, Mebane, NC.
