Nine William Lamb

April 12, 1913 — November 6, 2013

Ms. Nina Williams Lamb, 100, passed away at the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell on Nov. 6, 2013. She was the daughter of the late George Williams and Corey Cobb Williams and the wife of the late Orville Kennett "O.K." Lamb.She was the oldest living member of Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church where she also served as the treasurer. She was a former employee of Wrightenberry Mills in Graham.Survivors include grandchildren, Richie Burke (Tonya) of Mebane, Tammy Vaughn (Dink) of Graham; great-grandchildren, Katie and Lacie Vaughn; and a son-in-law, Richard Burke of Graham. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Lamb Burke; son, John Kennett Lamb; sisters, Fannie Brown, Dora Bailey and Bessie Herron.The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, from 5 until 7 p.m. at McClure Funeral Service in Graham. The funeral will be held at 11a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. Jimmy Wooten. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
