Odie Wilson Martin Jr.

Odie Wilson Martin Junior of Mebane, North Carolina, passed on August 22, 2026 at his home. Born November 30, 1950 in Alamance County. He was the son of Odie Wilson Martin and Pearl Moore Williams, who proceeded him in death. Odie was also proceeded in death by his wife Sherry Wall Martin, and his brothers Larry Williams and Terry Williams.

Odie is survived by his daughters; Christal Wagner and Dina Miller. His grandchildren; Holly and Daelin Wagner, Cedar and Garrett Miller. His siblings and their spouses, Charlie and Janice Martin, Jeanette and Charles, Rita and John Taylor, and Wendy Williams.

Odie was a very charitable man with a big heart that also thrived for knowledge consistently. He devoted his life in helping others. He married his soulmate, Sherry Wall Martin. He took exquisite care of her, even when she developed frontal lobe dementia. He never left her side and is now reunited with her.

Odie served over 20 years in the military through the Army, Reserves, and National Guard. He was a man that proudly served his country.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday September 8, 2026 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. A private interment will held at a later date in Alamance Memorial Park.
