GRAHAM - Mrs. Opal Moore Narron, 93, of Ward Street, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after five years of failing health. She was the daughter of the late Clem Bascom Moore and Joy Wood Moore. Mrs. Narron was a retired nurse, working at Memorial Hospital as well as Old County Hospital for numerous years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Bascom Henderson, of Graham; son, Steve Henderson and wife Starr, of Clayton; sister, Barbara Lowe and husband Elwyn, of Burlington; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Riley Narron; sisters, Helen M. Harrington and Bonnie M. Utley; and brothers, L. Bascom Moore and Garland Moore. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Officiating will be the Rev. Darryl Peebles. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alamance County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at 296 E. Crescent Square Drive, Graham, NC 27253.
