Pamela Cline Boggs, affectionately known as Pam to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, at the age of 71 in Caswell County, North Carolina. Born on February 12, 1954, in Alamance County, NC, Pam's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and service, woven with the threads of her unwavering commitment to her family, friends, and community. Pam's journey began as the cherished daughter of Robert Young Cline and Dormilee Mann Merritt. Her early years in North Carolina set the stage for a life filled with warmth, kindness, and an enduring spirit of generosity. She was a beacon of light and strength to her family, including her loving son, Christopher Bryan Moore, her stepdaughter, Kim Ogletree and her husband William, and her brother, Mayor Jerry Peterman and his wife Jan. Pam's bond with her best friend and heart sister, Betty Jean Norris, was unbreakable, and together they shared countless cherished moments. Her nieces, Michelle Wilkinson and Katie Wallace, as well as family friend Michael Slade and sister-in-law Pat Peterman and family, all held special places in her heart. Pam was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Edward Boggs Jr., who was the love of her life and with whom she shared many of life's greatest joys. She was also preceded by her parents, her sisters, Laura Jane Peterman Barrett and Linda Sue Cline Fearster, and her brother, Edward Lee Peterman. Each of these individuals played a significant role in shaping the woman Pam became, and their memories continued to inspire her throughout her life. Professionally, Pam was a dedicated employee at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she retired after 20 years of service. Her commitment to her work was evident in the lasting relationships she built and the respect she earned from her colleagues and the broader university community. Pam's love for the outdoors was a testament to her appreciation for nature's beauty and the simple pleasures of life. She found solace and joy in tending to her garden, where she cultivated not only plants but also friendships and memories. Her passion for fishing and camping at Buggs Island was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of her adventurous spirit and her love for the serene landscapes that surrounded her. Above all, Pam was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her presence was a source of comfort and happiness to all who knew her. Her laughter, her wise counsel, and her unwavering support were gifts that enriched the lives of many. Pam's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family and friendship. As we bid farewell to Pamela Cline Boggs, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a heart that generously loved. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Pam's journey on earth has ended, but her story—etched in the lives she touched—will continue to be told for generations to come.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marie Guillaume with Hospice for her love, care and support during this difficult time. Service for Pam will be held in the Spring of 2026.
