Patricia “Pat” Ann Ector, 66, of Dallas Texas, died suddenly at her home on Friday, September 26, 2014. Pat’s father, Robert P. Ector Sr., passed away when she was 14. She was raised by her Godly grandmother, Annie Ector and Walter Ector of Haw River, both deceased. Pat is survived by a brother, Robert P. Ector Jr. (Shelia) of Burlington and a sister Linda King (Dave) of Randleman; 2 nieces, Rhonda Terrell (Mike) and Lisa King; 3 nephews, Brandon Ector, Brent Ector and Clyde King Jr. (Rici-Annette); 4 aunts, Blanche Lipscomb, Ruth Squires, Ethel Murray, Mary Lee Smith (Marvin) and 1 uncle, Walter Ector (Betty). Pat was born in Alamance Co. and attended Haw River Elementary and Eastern High School. She was very athletic and loved sports. Pat played 2nd base with the Wallace Steele’s Ruby Otts Team and won the National Title in Girl’s Softball in Omaha, Nebraska in 1963. She lived in Dallas Texas for the past 27 years and was employed at Wal-Mart. Pat was loved and will be greatly missed by all of her family, friends, and co-workers in North Carolina and Texas. Her beloved pet (Baily) was adopted by a good friend (Tia and family) in Dallas. A memorial service will be held in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00am. The service will be conducted by Brent Ector. The family will receive friends after the memorial service at the funeral home.
