Patricia Mae "Trisha" Cates Walker Grant

BURLINGTON - Patricia Mae "Trisha" Cates Walker Grant, 70, of 1051 Wyatt Road, Lot 7, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at Duke University Medical Center.The daughter of the late Ira Cates and the late Hilda Ange McDaniel, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry McDaniel and Lyman Cates. She was a native of Alamance County, a homemaker, of the Baptist faith and attended Open Bible Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Earl Grant Sr., of the home; children, Kathy and Jerry Roach of Graham, Jeffery Ray Walker and friend Cindy Majewski of Burlington, Susie and Eddie Fuqua of Caswell County, Betty and Carl Spell of Mebane; stepchildren, Raymond Earl Grant Jr. and Ginger Grant of Clayton, Renee Grant Walker of Burlington, Windy Walker of Burlington and Billy Blue of Burlington; eight grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-stepgrandchild; one great-great-grandchild; one great-great-stepgrandchild; and a sister, Nancy Kay McDaniel.A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Open Bible Baptist Church, 610 S. Beaumont Avenue, Burlington, by the Rev. Steve Pruitt.The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. and at other times at the residence.
