Paul Dean Harrington

BURLINGTON - Paul Dean Harrington, 87, went to a wonderful reception in Heaven with his Savior, family and friends at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014.Paul was born April 12, 1927, in Sugar Grove, Va. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was retired from Burlington Industries Transportation Division and was a charter member of New Covenant Fellowship.Surviving are daughter, Paula Harrison (Dale); and son, Michael Dean Harrington (Susan) all of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Adam and Amy Harrison, Wesley and Kevin Harrington; and a great-grandson, Jackson Dean Harrington; sister, Freida Stamper (Roy) of Raleigh; brother-in-law, Rhea Lawrence (Marie) of Marion, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jo. Harrington; parents, Harvey Fielding and Annis Whifman Harrington; three sisters; and six brothers.Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 25, 2014, at 2 p.m. at New Covenant Fellowship. Officiating will be the Rev. David Neff. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.
