Paula M Smeltz (Wertz) of Burlington, NC passed away in her sleep Tuesday April 23, 2024.

Paula was born April 8, 1958 in Jacksonville FL to Jack and Corrie Wertz. She graduated from J.P. McCasky High School in Lancaster PA where she grew up. Paula enjoyed hobbies such as sewing and gathering with friends. She also loved several dogs and cats throughout her life.

Paula is survived by her children Sabrina and Christopher Watson, Ryan Smeltz and Latoya Deans, Aaron and Tina Smeltz, and Hannah Smeltz. Grandchildren, Geoffrey and Phillip Watson. Step-Mother and husband, Joan and Bill Martin. Sister, Corrie Wertz and Half-Sister Regina K Coppeak.

She is preceded in death by her father Jack Wertz Sr., Mother Corrie Wertz, Brother Jack Wertz Jr. and father of children David Smetlz.

The memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 7th at 2pm at the McClure Funeral Home, 1308 S Third St, Mebane, NC 27302. The service will be live streamed from their websitehttps://www.mcclurefuneralservice.net/ for those willing to attend but can’t make it in person.
