Paula “Sue” Woodford Isley It is with great sadness that the family of Sue Isley announce her passing on November 27 2024. Sue will be sadly missed. She was born August 1, 1946. She lived 78 years. Sue is survived by her husband of 57 years and high school sweetheart Max Isley and her “Boys” Wayne Isley (Jennipher) and Russell Isley (Kimberly). She has two sisters Cindy Darr (Terry) and Sherry McBane (Larry). Her grandchildren are Austin Isley, Rebecca Isley Gray (Trevor), Cole Isley and Skyler Smith. Sue also has 2 great grandchildren Ember Gray and Bear Gray. Sue graduated from Eastern Alamance High school in 1964 and then went on to graduate from Burlington Business College. After school she worked at White Furniture in Mebane for 30 years then moved employment to Allied Health and Education at UNC Chapel Hill and retired from there. Outside of work she was an active member of Lambs Chapel. When her boys were of age for Boy Scouts she and Max became leaders. She received the distinguished District Award of Merit from the Alamance District of Scouting. Her Sunday school class was always a vital part of her life. All the class members to her were her family as well. Sue never met a stranger and was always sharing the love of Jesus. Her infectious laughter and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her and her sons will miss making her laugh until she cries. The Family rejoices in knowing that Paula Sue Woodford Isley is now in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be Rev Ken Smith. The family will receive friends following the the memorial service.
