Mrs. Pauline Hammond Flournoy, 102, of Mebane, NC passed away on Sunday October 16, 32016 at her residence. A native of Danville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Hammond and Ella West Coley. She was retired from Cone Mills in Haw River and attended people’s Church in Mebane. She was an avid quilter, always quilting for her family and friends. She was an inductee of the Haw River Hall of Fame and most importantly, she was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend to many. Survivors include her daughter, Gail Baker and husband Robert, of Dudley, NC; grandchildren, Nia Bergman, Kevin Carter and April Dawn Carter; great grandchildren, John Bergman and wife Majesty and Sondra Bergman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Flournoy and her son, Jerry Carter. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday October 20, 2016 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane. There will be no public visitation held. McClure Funeral Home in Mebane is assisting the family.
