CEDAR GROVE - Pauline Jones Mayton, 64, of 9403 Allison Road, Cedar Grove, died Tuesday, December 10, at her residence. She was a native of Edenton, NC and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazen and Hazel Whitten Jones and her brothers, Stanley Jones and Jimmy Jones.She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Mayton of the home; children, Ann Blackwood and husband Lee of Cedar Grove, NC, Joseph Jones of Cedar Grove; stepson, Robbie Mayton of TN; sisters, Margaret Spivey of Snow Camp, Linda Penland of Snow Camp and Darlene Jones of TX; brothers, Thomas Jones of Snow Camp, Sam Jones of Cedar Grove and Johnny Jones of Cedar Grove; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane conducted by Hospice Chaplain Gail Smith. Burial will follow in Mebane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8, other times at the residence.
