Peggy Reaves Eakes Futrell

Mrs. Peggy Jane Reaves Eakes Futrell, 70 met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday March 14, 2018 at her residence. A native of Person County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Elvin William “Shorty” and Frances Lunsford Reaves and the wife of the late Fenton Terrance “Terry” Futrell. She proudly attended Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Graham and she loved to talk about Jesus and her Lord. She was known for always making others laugh about anything. She was a strong willed woman who always put others first especially when it came to her family. Survivors include her children, Robin Johnson, of Graham, Sandy Jones and husband Gary, of Graham, Wayne Eakes and wife Kristi, of Graham, and Leann Harris and husband Stephen, of Raleigh; siblings, Shirley Manning and husband Nick, of Burlington, Vickie Teague and husband Gene, of Elon, Shelby Temple, of Mebane, Charles Reaves and wife Sue, of Burlington, Danny Reaves and wife Pam, of Haw River and Ted Reaves and wife Leann, of Burlington; many loving and cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Kathy Wilson, Tootie Brooks and Elvin “Billy” Reaves Jr. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 17, 2018 at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Barbour officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Friday March 16, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and other times at the residence of the family.
