Peggy Johnson Gregory

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Peggy Gregory, 82, passed away on November 27, 2013 at the Whitestone Masonic & Eastern Star Community in Greensboro. She was an active member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Burlington since 1960 where she served as Sunday School treasurer for over 30 years and was also a member of the Elizabeth Fitch Circle.Survivors include her sons, Tim (Amanda) Gregory of Burlington and Michael (Cindy) Gregory of Washington, NC; a daughter, Karen (Morty) Jayson of Apex, NC; brothers, Jackie Johnson and Edward Johnson; sisters, Margaret Hurdle, Bettie Boswell and Janie Johnson; grandchildren, Jessica Gregory Maupin, Daniel Gregory, Greg Jayson, Anna Melendez, Alex Gregory; and three great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband James Odell Gregory, her parents, James Snowden Johnson and Dorothy Coker Johnson; her brother, Buddy Johnson and a granddaughter, Courtney Gregory. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Bethel Christian Church in Burlington.
