Peggy Cheek Hadley

Mrs. Peggy Jo Cheek Hadley, 75, of 8922 Bethel South Fork Rd, Snow Camp, NC, passed away on Thursday February 5, 2015 at Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital in Greensboro after two months of critical illness. Born in Orange County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Sadie Ragan Cheek. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a very special aunt and sister. She was a member of South Fork Friends Church in Snow Camp and attended the William Penn Sunday School Class at South Fork. Her joy and love were her family. She played an active role and influence in her grandchildren’s lives, always willing to go to great lengths to show each of them how special and loved they were. She was known for being full of energy, always having a beautiful smile on her face and a great sense of style. She is survived by her husband, Russell Hadley, of the home, her children, Michael Hadley, of Snow Camp and Cathy Hadley Neal and husband Mike, of Burlington; grandchildren, Jordan Hadley, Logan Hadley, Gracie Hadley, Olivia Neal, Chloe Neal; great grandchildren, Sophie Fox and Lilly Hadley; siblings, Dorothy Oaks, of Chapel Hill, Ann Sauls, of Wilson, and Bobby Cheek, of Butner, and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Dan Cheek and Ida Seagrove. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday February 8, 2015 at the South Fork Friends Church with the Rev. Andrew Needham officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Saturday February 7, 2015 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham, and other times at the residence of the family.
