Peggy Ann Hines

Peggy Ann Hines, 87, of Mebane passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at her residence. She was a native of Ellenboro, retired as a bookkeeper for Eckerd Drugs and from the Cafeteria at EM Yoder Elementary School. She is the daughter of the late William and Lucille Self Edwards and the wife of the late Jack Donald Hines. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Hines and granddaughter, Shellica Mendez, She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and sang with the gospel group Jubilation.

She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” Hines Woody of Graham; grandchildren, Jeremy Keith Woody and Chasati of Mebane, Sharita Danielle Hines and Stacey Mann of Mebane and Logan Rae Wade of Graham; great grandchildren, Cecilia Faith Mendez, Omar Josiah Hines, Bailey Grace Woody, Bralynn Ruth Woody and Dalton Keith Woody.

A memorial service for Mrs Hines will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, at 2:00PM at Riverside Baptist Church in Graham by Rev. Bob Stephenson. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-2:00PM prior to the service at the church. For those attending the service, the family requests that you please wear light blue.
