Mrs. Peggy Bason Hobbs, 88, of Graham passed away Thursday, December 02, 2021, at Novant Thomasville Medical Center. Peggy was born in Alamance County, NC to Joseph E. Bason and Floylell Coble Bason, both deceased. Mrs. Hobbs found many ways to provide for her family over the years ultimately retiring from McClure Funeral Service as a pre-need sales consultant. Peggy can be remembered as a woman of strong faith, maintaining that faith, and engaging in fellowship for many years as a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hobbs was an avid Braves fan and was thankful to be able to celebrate their most recent World Series win. Peggy found joy in many things, but nothing filled her with happiness like her family who she loved with all her heart.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hobbs was preceded in death by her husband J.T. Hobbs.
Peggy is survived by her son, Terry L. Jordan and wife Cheryl, of Thomasville, NC, a stepson, Gary R. Hobbs and wife Janette, of Sun City, Arizona, three grandchildren, Brooke Oldham, Casey McLeod, and Zac Oldham, six great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, Keith Hobbs, Mark Hobbs, and Lee Hobbs, a brother, Ervin Bason Jr., of Graham, NC, a sister, Karon Briggs, of St. Augustine, Florida, and sister, Rose (Kerry) Kaucher, of Graham, NC, a nephew, Joey Lane, and a niece, Laura Stratton and Tracy Bellamy.
The family will receive friends at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church on Monday, December 06, 2021, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM with the service following the visitation, beginning at 2:00PM. Interment will occur following the service in the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church or The Cancer Center at Alamance Regional.
