Peggy Culler Massey, 83, of Mebane died Wednesday, May 17 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. She was a native of Tobaccoville, NC, Retired from Monarch Hosiery, she enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family traveling and many other activities, she was an expert seamstress and cook. She was a quilter and a member of the home extension club in her earlier years. She loved her grandson and his family and especially the great grandchildren and she was a breast cancer survivor. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Ray(Keith Berry) of Mebane; grandson, Victor Ray(Kaylee) of Burlington; great grandchildren, Hannah Ray & Gavin Ray; sister, Alice Davis of Timonium, MD and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband who she enjoyed looking after, James Lee Massey; parents, Robah and Lemma Wall Culler; siblings, Lawrence Culler, Sallie Mae Aldridge, Mildred Hicks and Kate Spainhour. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane Saturday, March 20 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. And other times at the home.
