Mrs. Peggy Allison Privette 92, of Graham, NC passed away on September 28, 2024, at the Hospice Home in Burlington. A native of Alamance Co. NC, she was the daughter of the late Julius Garland Allison and Libbie Pegram Allison. Peggy married the love of her life, Bill Privette, in 1969 and they enjoyed every minute together. She was always looking after others in any way she could, especially her brother James and sister, Mary Lou. Peggy retired from Western Electric (Lucent Technologies) after many years of service and she cherished her work friends. Peggy was known for being an organized person, always keeping a nice home and looking after her neighbors. She was a 50-year member of the First Baptist Church of Graham and sang in the Church Choir for 70 years and also taught Sunday School and loved working with the youth programs. She will forever be loved and cherished. Survivors include her sister, Mary Lou Allison; her loving nephews, Joseph B. Boggs and wife Carmen and David S. Boggs and wife Michele; and her three Angels, Wilma Cochran, Dina Grinstead, and Karen Hamilton; and a sister-in-law, Betty Basch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Privette; a sister, Etta A. Felmet; brothers, James and Roland Allison; and a nephew, Chet Boggs. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday October 2, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Graham with the Pastor Chris Howe officiating. Burial will follow alongside her husband Bill in Graham Memorial Park. Peggy will Lie in State 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Graham at 224 N. Main St. Graham, NC 27253. McClure Funeral Service in Graham is assisting the family.
