Peggy Wall Gregory

Mrs. Peggy Wall Gregory, 90, of Graham passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at home with her family by her side after several months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was married 58 years to the late Kenneth Gregory.  She was the daughter of John Watt Wall and Ethel Sands Wall, both deceased.  Peggy was well known in her community for being a seamstress for the public.  Her many talents over the years included cake decorating, candy making, doll crafting, knitting, crocheting, and gardening.  On any given night you could find her at her kitchen table winning progressive rummy with anyone who dared to play with her.  She devoted a lot of time at the senior citizen center calling bingo and playing the Wii bowling game.  One of her proudest moments was completing her high school diploma at age 69.  She was a loyal member of Christ United Methodist Church. Peggy’s greatest joy was time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Gregory, ten brothers, and five sisters.

Peggy is survived by her son, Kenneth Gregory Jr. (Debbie); her daughters, Gale Gregory, and Tina Martin (Todd); her five grandchildren: Kendra Michael (Kevin), Nathan Gregory (Denise), Gina Dean (Jonathan), Brooke Gregory (Jason), and Brianna Vincent (Tyler); her twelve great grandchildren; her one great great grandchild; her special nephew, Kevin Stanley; and her sister in laws, Faye Wall, and Violet Inge.

A funeral service will be held at McClure Funeral Home in Graham on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 12:00pm.  The family will receive friends from 10:00am-11:30am prior to the service. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Park.
