Peter Andrew (P.A.) Morgan

Peter Andrew Morgan (P.A.), son of the late Kime and Mildred Morgan from Morgantown located in Burlington, NC, was born on August 2, 1931 in Alamance County, NC, went from Beacon Hospice Place in Greensboro to be with the Lord on November 17, 2015; he was 84 years young. He joins his deceased wife (11-14-2007) Gertrude Graves Morgan. Peter (P.A.) was an active member of both Bridge Street AME Church located in the Bed-Sky section of Brooklyn, NY and St. Matthews AME Church in Burlington, NC where he was also an active member of the Men’s Choir for both Churches. He leaves to embrace his memory of 2 daughters, Pamela Morgan of Lathrop, CA and Sandra Morgan Ryan, of Greensboro, NC; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sarah Cooper, of Graham, NC and Elsie May Brown, of New York City, NY; and a brother John Lewis Morgan, of Elon, NC, plus a whole host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Sunday November 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the St. Matthews AME Church with the Dr. Rev. Patrice Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Community Cemetery in Mebane. Public viewing will be Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday November 21, 2015 at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham.
