Phyllis Sue (Ketron) Newcomer

Phyllis Sue Ketron Newcomer, 69, of Mebane NC passed away peacefully on September 2, 2020. Phyllis was born August 20, 1951 in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Louis and Elaine Ketron.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Rodney Earl Newcomer, Sr. and her brother Harry Ketron. Phyllis spent her life surrounded in the love of her family.  She enjoyed spending time with her 10 grandchildren, 4 sons, 2 sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, her Kentucky family, and her dog Milo.  Phyllis is remembered as being fun, kind, a great listener, and having a beautiful smile.  Phyllis is survived by her sons, Rodney Jr. and wife Laura, Kenneth and wife Allison, Kevin, and Richard. She is also survived by her sisters Bay Jones, husband Philip and Virginia Jones, husband Marvin. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Center at Alamance Regional Medical Center at 1236 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington NC 27215.  McClure Funeral Services in Mebane are assisting the family.
