Phyllis "Michele" Wrightsell

Phyllis “Michele” Wrightsell, 61 YOA, from Burlington NC passed away  peacefully on July 26,2024 after a short battle with cancer.  She trusted completely in the assurances of God’s promises in John 3:16 and John 14:1-3.

Michele was an exceptional employee of UNC Chapel Hill Medical Center. After Michele retired she continued to  serve others and and was a devoted care taker.

She was active in Bellemont Methodist Church finding joy in playing the piano, placing altar flowers and participating in her Sunday School class.

Michele will live in our hearts and thoughts forever for her legacy of unconditional love.  She was generous in her time and resources, always quick to support anyone in need. She enjoyed showering frequent unexpected gifts on others especially in the form of chocolate, a homemade pound cake, or fresh picked strawberries. She truly had a servant's heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Catherine Wrightsell.  She is survived by her sister Paula Crotts (Paul), her niece Holli Gartsu (Mike) and nephews Steven Harrison Jr, Joshua Harrison, Jack Gartsu, and Beau Gartsu. She adored her beloved pets Choo Choo, Pixie, and Coco.

The family would like to thank the dedicated professionals at Alamance Regional Cancer Center, Guilford Health Care, and AuthoraCare Hospice. Also extended is our sincere appreciation to everyone that called, texted, prayed, visited, sent cards, flowers,and other gifts to encourage her.

The service will be held at 11am on Tuesday July 30, 2024 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham officiated by Pastor Ken Smith.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral from 10-11am prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
