Preston Junior Garrett Sr.

Preston Junior Garrett Sr., 81, passed away on Sunday June 9, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.  He was the son of the late Lester and Lucille Garrett.  Preston was a member of First Baptist Church in Mebane and also the Greensboro Sheet Metal Workers Union.  He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Garrett; sons, Preston “P.J.” Garrett Jr., and David Garrett; step children, April, Anita, Angie and Biven Jr.; brothers, Charlie Thomas Garrett and Daniel Glosson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of extended family and friends.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary, Bill, Alma, Betty and Mickie.  A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane.  The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home 10am-11am prior to the service.
