Rainey Brooks Qualls III, “Bud”, beloved son, father, husband, and brother passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2024, at the age of 60. Bud Qualls was born on March 4, 1964, and lived in North Carolina his entire life. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Bud was a life-long member of Landmark Baptist Church and most recently attended New Hope Baptist Church in Salisbury, NC. He is preceded in death by his son, Tristan Qualls; his father, Rainey Qualls Jr.; and his sister, Dawn Qualls Benson. Bud is survived by his wife, Lisa Qualls; his mother, Linda Kirby (David); his grandmother, Irene Qualls; and his two daughters, Carol Qualls and Rainey Qualls. He also leaves behind his stepmother, Barbara Qualls, and three sisters: Terri Ridgaway (Chris), Erin Cafasso (Thom), and Jessica Hester (Rodney). Additionally, he is survived by three brothers: Jesse Qualls (Terri), Bradley Qualls (Stacy), and Mark Wilson (Angie), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will deeply miss him. Known for his constant humor and caring nature, Bud spent much of his adult life as a truck driver, where he formed lasting friendships and developed a passion for driving. He also worked as a painter, showcasing his skills in countless homes and leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship. Bud appreciated simple pleasures. He cherished spending time with family, enjoyed telling stories, was passionate about motorcycles, and always had a joke or story to share. His love for his children and family was unmatched, and his passing leaves a void in their hearts that will never be filled. A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday,  December 19, 2024 at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, NC. The family will receive visitors from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Bud’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will forever be remembered as a loving father, a caring husband, and a true friend.
