Ralph Montgomery Carter

MEBANE, N.C. - Ralph Montgomery Carter, 82, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at the Hospice Home, Burlington, N.C.Mr. Carter was born in Alamance County. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a truck driver for Kingsdown with 38 years of service.He is survived by his wife, Sara Lane Wells Carter, of the home; brother, Mack Carter, of Hamstead, N.C.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Syrus and Linda Wells of Burlington, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Lucille Carter of Burlington, N.C. and Judy Carter of Hamstead, N.C.; two nephews and four nieces.He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold A. Carter Sr. and Nona Montgomery Carter; sisters, Mary E. Miller, Kate C. Cole and Doris Scott; and brothers, Bill and Fred Carter.A graveside service will be held Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Faith Baptist Church cemetery. There will be no visitation. The body will remain at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, N.C. until carried to the cemetery for the graveside service. Officiating will be the Rev.
