Ralph Parker "Scooter" Coble, Iii

Wilmington Ralph Parker Coble III (“Scooter”) was born in Greensboro on September 8, 1955. Scooter was an accomplished swimmer and won many awards throughout high school. Due to his swimming skills, Ralph was awarded a scholarship to join the men’s swimming team at North Carolina State University. While at NCSU, Scooter studied textile engineering and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Later in life, Ralph settled in Wilmington and worked as a salesman selling industrial equipment for several national companies. Ralph also enjoyed travelling, fishing, hunting and spending time with his friends. During his time in Wilmington, he was a role model for dozens of people in the local AA program. Ralph was preceded in death by his father (Ralph Parker Coble Jr.), mother (Mildred Bradshaw Coble) and brother (John Robert Coble). Ralph is survived by a nephew (Raymond Coble), two nieces (Samantha and Rebecca Coble) as well as two grandnephews (Raymond Jackson Coble and Landon Robert Sukarchi) and a grandniece (Alexandra Kate Coble). A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday May 23rd, at Rock Creek United Methodist Church in Snow Camp by Rev. Richard Booker.
