Randal Fox

Randal Thomas (Boo Boo) Fox passed gently from the loving hands of his adoring family into the arms of his heavenly savior on July 27, 2018. A Mebane native, Randy was born in Alamance County on July 28th, 1959, to Morris and Jean Fox. He graduated from Eastern High School in 1977 and continued his education at Bob Jones University and earned his degree in Technology from Alamance Community College. He was employed for most of his working career as a Quality Engineer with Nortel and completed his final years at Flextronics in 2013. Randy was a devoted member of Eastside Baptist Church in Mebane where he served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. He is survived by his mother Jean Fox and two step-children: Robbie Gentry (Elizabeth) of Roxboro, NC and Cedar Glasgow (Troy) of Efland, NC. Brothers: Clifton (Elaine) of Graham, NC, Doug Fox (Barbara) of Burlington, NC, and Sister: Luanne Payne (Johnny) of Mebane, NC. Grandchildren: Lorene Gentry, Bristol Teague, Grace Gentry, and Hallie Glasgow, Special Friend: Carolyn Wilson, Uncle: Donald Rice (Priscilla), Aunts: Doris Franklin and Jo Rice and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father: Morris Fox. Wives: Lorene Perkins Fox, and Anna King Fox. Grandparents: William & Annie Rice and Monroe & Lula Fox. The family will receive friends at the home of Luanne & Johnny Payne at: 2121 Bordeaux Drive, Mebane, NC 27302. A visitation will be held at McClure Funeral Home, Mebane on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, and Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 1:00pm at Eastside Baptist Church, 333 Supper Club Rd. Mebane. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association, NC Chapter at www.ALSNC.org & Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, or Eastside Baptist Church, Mebane.
