Rebecca "Becky" Wade

Rebecca Lineberry Wade, known lovingly to family and friends as Becky, passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born on June 15, 1948, Becky lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and a steady love for the people who mattered most to her.

Becky found great purpose in her work and in the many places life took her. She especially enjoyed traveling while teaching computers. Becky loved her work at Labcorp, where she formed meaningful connections.

Above all else, Becky loved her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Joyce Hough (Tommy), and she treasured her grandchildren, Julie Marie Kantor (Rick) and Jake Hough (Tara). She is also survived by her brother, Steve Lineberry (Jo Ann). Becky’s life was further enriched by the enduring friendship of Susan Allen Lynch and Joyce Wright Auman, who had been her best friends since they were 10 years old.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Wade; her step-son, Jeffrey Adam Wade; her parents, Harvey and Inez Lineberry; her sister, Terry Lineberry Coble; her grandparents, Melvin and Dorothy Lineberry; her great aunt and uncle, Elva McBride and John McBride; and her great grandmother, Sally Ann Lineberry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Friday, September 11, 2026 at McClure Funeral Service in Graham. The family will receive friends following the service.
