Rena (Daniels) Harris

Mrs. Rena Daniels Harris, 100, of 515 N. Fifth Street, died Tuesday morning November 8, 2022 at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.  Rena was born March 9, 2022, the daughter of Leland and Cora Daniels Sr.  She married Dailey E. Harris on August 30, 1941.  She was retired from G.E.  She was a lifelong member of Old Lea Bethel Baptist Church.  She loved being a part of "The Go Getter's" of Mebane.  Additionally she loved cooking and was an avid gardener.  Survivors include her son, Dailey E. Harris Jr. (Amee) of Hyco Lake, her daughter Carolyn Lunsford of Mebane, two grandchildren, Jennifer Hall (Craig) of Mebane, Mark Lunsford of Mebane, four great grandchildren, Justin Britt, Jacob Turner, Mason Turner and Madelyn Turner.  Rena was preceded in death by her husband Dailey Harris, sisters, Ruby Whitfield and Evelyn Nichols, brothers, James Harvey Daniels and Leland B. Daniels Jr and her parents. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Mike Nichols (Rena's nephew) who was especially close to his Aunt.  The service will be held at 2pm November 13 at Cooper Cemetery in Prospect Hill.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Cooper Cemetery, 903 Cooper Cemetery Road, Prospect Hill, NC 27314.
