Richard Deyton

Richard Deyton, 87, passed away on November 1, 2022 at Authoracare Hospice in Burlington.  He was the son of the late Uranous and Annie Pearl Deyton. After serving in the US Navy, he managed Kmart for 31 years. Richard loved reading the Bible and was an Adult Sunday School Teacher at Belmont Baptist Church.  He was also a volunteer with Piedmont Rescue Mission for over 30 years.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elisabeth Deyton.  Other than his parents his was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.  A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday November 6, 2022 at Belmont Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends on Sunday at the church prior to the funeral from 1-2.  The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
