Richard Stanley Emerson

Richard Emerson, 88, went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2017. He was the son of the late Robert and Harriet Washburn Emerson. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and Bula Masonic Lodge #409. Survivors include his wife of the home, Aletha Dingee Emerson, daughter; Margaret Torrez of Elon, sons; Richard Emerson II (Kathy) of Jackson, MI., Robert Emerson (Kimberly) of Orlando Fl. And Peter Emerson of Snow Camp, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Emerson and sisters, Neda Natschke and Dora Workman. The family will receive friends on Friday January 6, 2017 from 5-7 at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Mebane. A funeral service will be held at 2:oo on Saturday January 7, 2017 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
