Richard Lewis “Dicky” Flick, age 73, of Graham, North Carolina, passed away on October 4, 2026. He was born on August 23, 1953, in Anderson County, Tennessee, and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, service to his country, and a deep love for the simple joys that made life meaningful. Dicky was the loving husband of Tamera Wolphert Flick, and together they shared a life filled with companionship, laughter, and many cherished memories. He was a devoted father to Melissa F. Leon and her husband Israel, and to Ricky Flick and his wife Dana. He was a proud and caring son to his mother, Betty Jenkins Flick, and was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lewis “Bobby” Flick. He also was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert King Flick; his grandmother, Ona S. Flick; and his grandfather, Paul Jenkins, and Ellen Stevens Jenkins. He leaves behind his grandsons, Robert Flick and Trea McLean, as well as his great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Veah, Athena and a sister, Barbara Flick Vickery. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews who will remember him with affection and gratitude. Dicky was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, and his sense of duty and commitment remained with him throughout his life. Following his military service, he worked for Sizemore Lumber Company, where he retired as manager after 25 years of dedicated service. He was respected for his strong work ethic, steady leadership, and the dependable presence he brought to those around him. After retirement, he continued to stay active and found great joy in serving as captain of his fishing charter, Get Reel, in Oak Island, North Carolina. He loved that work deeply and took great pride in sharing his time on the water with others. Outside of work, Dicky enjoyed a life centered around family, friendship, and the outdoors. He loved tinkering with motorcycles and going riding with his wife and buddies. He and Tamera especially enjoyed trail riding on horseback whenever they had the chance, making memories together in the places they loved most. He was also an avid farmer who took great pride in raising cattle and chickens, and he loved anything connected to farming. His hands were rarely still, and his heart was always close to the land and the life he built. Those who knew Dicky will remember him as a hardworking, good-hearted man who valued family above all else. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of adventure, and the many ways he showed care for the people and things he held dear. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.
