Mr. Richard Harris “Dickie” Robertson, 75, of 3480 North NC 62, Burlington, NC, passed away on Friday March 4, 2016 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late William Cletus and Virgy Walker Robertson. As a young man he worked with WFMY news 2 and retired from Splawn Belting with 33 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Graham. His passion was music and he played with bands such as the Country Gentlemen and Flashback and was known for being one of the smoothest drummers you would ever hear. His joy were his grandchildren whether they were fishing or spending time together, it always made him smile. He was an avid HAM Radio enthusiast even getting to talk with people from around the world. Survivors include his wife, Nadine Brown Robertson, of the home; daughter, Tracie Enoch, of Burlington; son, Greg Robertson and wife Shelia, of Graham; grandchildren, Ricky, Dylan, Dustin, Brandie, Clay, and Lex; sisters, Betty Howerton and husband Jack, of Burlington and Jackie Snyder, of VA Beach; and several loving nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday March 7, 2016 at Graham Memorial park with the Rev. David Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM prior to the graveside service on Monday at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, and other times at the residence of the family.
