Rickey H. "Rick" Temple, 66, of Mebane, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his residence. Rick was born in Johnston County, NC. He was the service director for University Ford in Durham and co-owned and operated New Mellinnium Fitness Gym in Mebane and Hillsborough. He was also a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shelby R. Temple of the home, son, Wesley H. Temple (Lisa) of Marshville, NC, daughter, Jay Allen of Garner and Chanda Blythe (David) of Snow Camp, NC. Children, Travis Cheek and Hali Cheek both of Mebane. Grandchildren, Trayvin, Jayda, Kale, Colby, Caroline, Jacob, Ritchie, Josie, Casey, Bella. 4 Great Grandchildren. Sister, Dawn Allen (Ray) of Greeneville, TN. Step Father, James Denson of Apex, Step Children, Travis Cheek and Hali Cheek both of Mebane. Step brother, Ross Denson (Jodi), Fuqua-Varina. He was preceded in death by: parents, Ernest Hugh Temple and Geraldine Temple Denson. Brother, Lance Temple. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Glen Raven Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Bobby Fann. Burial will follow in Hawfields Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 6 until 8 Wednesday. Other times they will be at the residence.
