Robert "Poppy" Henry Morris Jr.

With heavy hearts, but with the hope of eternal life, we announce the death of Robert Henry Morris, Jr.  Born on March 5, 1961 born in Alamance County.  He was a man of honesty, a faithful friend, generous.  He was a loving husband to Deborah Huffman Morris and a father to two wonderful daughters Beverly Morris McKee, from Swannanoa and Susie “Angel” Morris from Black Mountain. He shared his love to his wife’s three children Nora Rhew Brooks of Pittsboro, Chris Rhew of Efland, and Krystle Renee Cole of Phoenix, Arizona.  He taught us the importance of family, hard work, and living a life that showed love instead of just talking about it.  He is survived by his mother Patricia Edgerton Morris and father Robert H. Morris, sister Susie Morris Brooks, brother Jonathan Morris and wife Deborah Huffman Morris, five children, five great-grand children, the light of his life the grandchildren.  The grandchildren are Logan, Perry, Jenna, Kendall, Alexis, Taylor, Hannah, Hunter, Emma, and Ricky, and a host of young adults, DJ Prince, Christian “Yodabug” Cobb, Jason McGee, Roberto Rodriuez, Ryan Cecil, Travis Key that shared his life, his struggles and joy.  He loved his relatives and friends but no stronger bond as the one with Jeffrey Brooks.  A visitation at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 10:00 until 11:00 with the Celebration of his life at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 15, 2025.
