Robert Wade “Bobby” Hensley, 95, was called home to be with the Lord on February 18th, 2026 following a brief illness. As a devoted and loving husband, he shared 75 blessed years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary “Helen” Hensley, who survives him.
He retired from Burlington Industries following 53 years of faithful service. He was the last surviving charter member of the Altamahaw-Ossipee Volunteer Fire Department, a testament to his lifelong commitment to his community. He was a faithful and longtime member of the Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he worshipped and found great strength in his faith.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his sons Steven Hensley and Robert “Bo” Hensley, wife Diana; grandchildren Robbie Hensley, wife Jennifer, and Stephanie Byrd; great-grandchildren Evan Hensley and Logan Hensley; sister Hilda “Polly” Cox; brother David Hensley, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Banner Hensley and Lucy Jarret Hensley; brothers JB Hensley, Howard Hensley, and Charles “Zip” Hensley; and sisters Opal Hensley Lane, Tunney Hensley Canady, and Susie Hensley Cox.
Visitation will be held on February 24th 2026 from 11am until 12pm followed immediately by a funeral service in the chapel at McClure Funeral Service, Graham, NC. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park where a committal service will be held.
The family will receive friends at their home and appreciates the prayers and support of the community.
