Robert Linkeon Hodgson

Mr. Robert Linkeon Hodgson, 75, of Mebane, passed away on Thursday May 1, 2014 surrounded by his family at UNC Hospitals after a courageous battle with cancer. He served his country in the US Army. He worked many years in the furniture business at Whites and later Craftique furniture. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley Lawrence Hodgson, of the home; daughters, Tamera H. Ellis and Fiancé David Champion, of Burlington, and Karen Hodgson, of Mebane; son, Ricky Hodgson, of Mebane; grandson, Brandon Ellis and wife April, of Durham; granddaughter, Shannon Ellis, of Durham; and four great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Hodgson, John Henry Hodgson, and Don Hodgson; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millie and John Hodgson; sister, Lula Belle. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 5, 2014 at Central Baptist Church with the Pastor Mike Faust officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Central Baptist Church, Mebane, NC. The body will remain at the McClure Funeral Home, Mebane, NC until taken to the church.
