Robert Lester Kauffman

Greensboro Robert Lester Kauffman, 92, of Greensboro, died Monday, March 21, 2016 at Beacon Place in Greensboro. He was a native of Caro, Michigan, lived most of his adult life in Mebane before moving to Raleigh for 8 years then retiring to High Point,He retired from Durham Life, was active with Gideons International and a member of the First Wesleyan Church of High Point. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Irene Patton Kauffman and parents, J.L. & Marie Wells Kauffman and sister, Joyce Bonitz. He is survived by his son, Tim Kauffman and wife Wendy of Greensboro; daughter, Carolyn Winslow and husband Edward of Thomasville, grandsons, Robert Winslow, David Winslow, Ryan Kauffman and Chris Kauffman; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Keith Kauffman of Bonita Springs, FL and sister, Wilaine Northway of Grand Blanc, MI A service to celebrate his life will be 11:00 AM Friday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Rev. Roger Coburn and Rev. Dan Price. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 before the service.
