Robert Beam Wade

Robert Beam Wade, 89, of Mebane, passed away on Friday May 3, 2024 at UNC Hospital Hillsborough Campus.  He was the son of the late Robert and Mary Wade.  During his working years he owned and operated Wade’s U-Haul and Service Center.  Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dorothy Wade; sons, Dale Wade (Mary), Roger Wade (Judy); grandchildren, Evan McCoy, Casey Atherton, Joseph Atherton; great grandchildren, Annabelle McCoy, Gabe Quiroz; brother, Randy Wade; sister, Betty Lou Evans, and many nieces and nephews.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Wade, Richard Wade, Ernest Wade, Harold Wade; sisters, Ophelia Day and Irene Williams.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 7, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane.  A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday May 8, 2024 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane with Pastor Chip Sellew officiating..  The family would like to give special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Dr. Bliss’s office, UNC Hillsborough and Center Well Home Health care for all the compassion and care they showed during Robert’s care.
