Robert “Bob” Foote of 404 Banks St Graham, went home to His Lord on May 4 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born December 11, 1939 in Conesus NY to the late Kenneth Cecil and Marion Evelyn Henry Foote. He was married to the love of his life Meredith Mae Grann Foote and they had 57 great years together. Bob worked in the grocery business all his life and was a grocery manager for Byrd’s Food and Food Lion after moving to Burlington in 1977. He earned the name “Bob Cookie” in his younger years as he would give cookies to all the children who would come in the store. Bob was a true man of faith and loved serving his Lord. When Bob prayed for you the Lord listened. He never met a stranger and was kind to everyone. You didn’t have to spend 15 minutes with Bob to know what a great man he was. He had a wicked sense of humor; he was always a happy and upbeat with an encouraging word and rarely complained. Bob also loved to sing and play the piano and performed in many shows at the Conesus Town Hall. As a matter of fact he was singing right up to the moment he left us. He loved to work in his yard and spent many hours with his hands in the dirt planting all variety of flowers. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and the times he spent with each and every one. He often remarked how proud he was of all his grandchildren and all their accomplishments. He was their rock through many difficult times and they all knew if you needed sage advice, a good listening ear or just a great hug, Pa was the man to see. Bob had a big heart and shared it with everyone. He was well known for his great hugs.
