Roenia Stevens Tripp

Mrs. Roenia Stevens Tripp, 94, passed away at her residence on Wednesday August 19, 2015. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mebane. She loved to read and sew. She is survived by her daughters: Geraldine White, Judy Wolfe and husband David, Betty Garrett and husband Preston, and Shelia Separk and husband Chip; Seventeen Grandchildren; Eighteen Great Grandchildren; Three Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy years: James W. Tripp Sr.; son: James “Jimmy” Tripp Jr.; parents: William Stevens & Lessie Stevens Moore; and sister: Evelyna Byrd. A service to celebrate her life will be conducted on Saturday August 22nd at 2:00PM at the McClure Funeral Chapel in Mebane, 1308 S. Third St., Mebane. Officiating will be Dr. Judy Butler. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at McClure Funeral Service and other times at the residence.
