GRAHAM - Mr. Ronald Lynn "Big Daddy" Davis, 66, passed away Wednesday March 5, 2014, at his residence. He was the son of Donald M. and Jackie Barrett Davis, who survive, of Graham. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend to many. He attended Full Gospel Tabernacle and was a member of the Softball Hall of Fame as well as a softball coach for 25 years. Ronald was an avid outdoorsman, loved to fish and hunt or just be outside with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughters, Michelle Stewart and husband Keith of Graham and Tracy Taylor and husband Buster of Mebane; son, Tony Wilson and wife Kathy of Lenoir, N.C.; grandchildren, Kacie Stewart, Lauren Taylor, MacKenzie Taylor, T.J. Wilson and Mathew Wilson; sisters, Cynthia Shropshire of Graham, and Teresa Dalton and husband Bobby; brother, Curtis Davis and wife Deborah of Mebane; and his lifelong friends, Tony Herndon and wife Tondra, Gary Aldridge and Big John. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday March 9, 2014, at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Graham by the Rev. Kevin Barber. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham and at other times at the residence of his parents, Donald and Jackie Davis, 7461 NC 87 South, Graham, N.C. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the nurses and staff of the Alamance-Caswell Hospice for their love and care during their father's illness.
