Ronald Thomas Epes, 68, of Burlington, passed away on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, at home surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with cancer. Ronald was born May 12th, 1957, in Roxboro N.C, the only son of World War II Veteran George Thomas Epes and Ladell Covington Epes. A 1975 Southern High School graduate, who went on to spend his years working hard to provide for his family and those he loved. Ron was a long-time Carolina fan who never missed a game. He enjoyed watching the races, golfing with his best buddies, a night downtown singing karaoke, and all the time he spent on the Carolina coastline with a fishing pole in hand, his friends by his side, and his dog of 12 years, nugget, in tow. Ronnie leaves behind his loving mother Ladell (97), two daughters Madison Meadows (wife of Nicholas), Garrison Epes, 5 grandchildren Emma, Landon, Layton, Lillian, Lennox, his longtime significant other Beth, and all the loved ones whose lives he touched throughout his years. He will be greatly missed and always remembered as a loving son, dad, pawpaw, best friend, life of the party, and a true Carolina Tarheel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday June 16th, 2025, at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Jason Gaskin officiating. Burial will follow alongside his parents at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Sunday June 15th, 2025, at McClure Funeral Home in Graham.
